Be it exotic Caribbean landscapes, Alaska’s wilderness, the natural settings of Vancouver, or Arizona’s powerful vistas, the North American continent features the world’s most spectacular and beautiful sites. These several destinations presented below are only the tip of the iceberg. Mind you, 90% of this iceberg of beauty lies beneath the surface.
The Kalalau Valley is one of the most beautiful sites on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The lush tropical valley is located in the Na Pali Coast and it is accessible only by kayak or along the Kalalau Trail.
The magnificent Kalalau is surrounded by high green cliffs of more than 2,000 feet (610m) and the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean. The glorious landscape, isolation and wild nature make the place an excellent getaway for hikers, kayakers, and other outdoor addicts.

A large number of various rankings and surveys have proved that Vancouver is the best city in the world to live in. Besides its cultural, architectural, and infrastructural advantages, the city’s natural beauty of nearby beaches, mountains, and forests makes it one of the world’s most stunning metropolises.

The Mayan ruins of Tulum. Mexico.
Tulum sits on the exotic Yucatan Peninsula surrounded by the dazzling waters of the Caribbean Sea. This Mexican city of heavenly tropical landscapes houses the Pre-Columbian Maya city. The vistas of dramatically located ruins mixed with the balmy surroundings create a one-of-a-kind destination. The Caribbean laid-back atmosphere, white sands, slender palm trees and the turquoise ocean combine with the Mayan site to give the city its exceptional beauty.

Yoho National Park, which lies in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, has an area of 1,313 sq km (507 sq mi), and it is the smallest of the four national parks in the Rockies, but its beauty is grand. The site of marvelous mountains, rivers, waterfalls, clear lakes and wide meadows was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984.

What makes Greenland beautiful is a magic lunar landscape of striking uniqueness and charm that’s difficult to describe. The powerful vast Arctic and Atlantic oceans, massive glaciers and scenic displays of northern lights all come to one place to perform a majestic show in which the nature plays a key role.
From the geographical point of view, Greenland is part of the North American continent, but politically it belongs to Europe, as it is a constituent country of Denmark.

The mind-blowing landscape of Arizona with amazing rock formations, spectacular canyons and mysterious wild deserts deserves to be a runner-up on the list of the most beautiful places in North America. With such jewels as the sites of Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Glen Canyon, or Lake Powell (shared with Utah) it can rival the world’s most amazing destinations. The only small crack in this glorious natural masterpiece is the crowd that can sometimes spoil the magnificent views.

Since when has Greenland been part of North America? Last I knew it belonged to Denmark.
Actually, it is part of North America, so is Mexico.
When did Hawaii become part of North America?
Smart… your ret****. When did you become so stu*** or were you always that way? You might have well of asked when Virginia became part of North America, or better yet. When did The United States of AMERICA become part of North America? Damn… thats something to ponder on for awhile huh? I bet that keeps you busy for hours. No google! lmao…. Lame-O
smart, I feel for you. I mean, it takes real dedication to achieve such a level sarcasm. I applaud you for being so funny – I damn near started laughing out loud.
actually smart you are a dumba$$….north america is a geographical designation not a political association such as the United States of America…. in fact Hawaii is a part of the United States of America much the same way Guam is but in fact neither is located in North America. so your sarcastic comments make you sound like the fuktard.
Your all dumbass’s. Do you think the people who post these actually come back to see what was said about they’re comment. Any future readers of this article… if they did actually come back to comment on this then I stand corrected, but I really doubt it.
How ’bout this? Since most of us seem to have been thinking about something else during Geography class, why don’t we just say this: them’s shore purty pictures, and they’d be nice places to go.
No wonder most people in the world thing Americans are ret*****. You people honestly don’t know the difference between a continent and a country? I don’t know what to say. They teach that **** in second grade you ******* morons.
I live in Washington, I go to B.C. all the time. Vancouver is the New York of Canada – if y’all didn’t know – and you have millions of people who NEVER WENT TO DRIVER’S ED driving in the biggest town in Canada. If you make it there, you may not make it back. FYI. Have fun driving yourself into the grave. Seriously go there. See for yourselves.
and btw – it’s YOU’RE all dum*****. Not your. call me a spelling nazi. i dare you.
Hey Washingtonian, it’s BC here, do your homewhork before making a jagazz out of yourself. Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada, stay home if you don’t like it.
Washingtonians against B.C – you are a moron, just like most of your fellow Americans. To say that “Vancouver is the New York of Canada” is hilariously ignorant. I guess you’ve never heard of Toronto. There are so many bad drivers in Vancouver due to the large Asian population.
Ahhhh, the wonders of a public school education. Continent? Country? Huh?
Anyone ever see the movie Idiocracy? We’re there!
washington you fuc***… there is no new york of canada.. we dont want to be like di*** americans! how can u even compare the 3rd best city to live in the world to the stink hole of new york? your outta your mind. and to say something like van city is the mecca of canada.. common.. Toronto is the finacial capital of canada as well as the most populated. but before that was montreal. get your facts straight!
it’s really a pity that the beauty of these natural wonders have been polluted by the filthy language of people making a mountain out of a molehill here, who notice the grain but not the masterpiece. don’t even know if anyone here notices the irony and complete impropriety of some of the comments here.
Gorgeous takes, btw
Hawaii isn’t North America, it is Oceania. The continent on which a state is has nothing to do with the country it’s in.
India, Indonesia, Guyana, South Africa, Congo, Australia, New York and Brazil were part of European countries, but were NEVER in Europe.
Ok… This list was great first off. Second, NYC is NOT dumpy you stupid Canadian who said that. Filth is something that comes along with a large city as someone from Canada may not understand because their “cities” are more like apartment complexes on steroids (lacking major industrial or manufacturing areas). I have been to Vancouver on more than one occasion and it is pretty, but cannot be compared to New York City. Now that I got that off my chest, Canada Is beautiful as well as the US. I just wish that these two great countries got more international recognition for their natural beauty…
