Stacey Herald worlds smallest mum only 28-inch tall
Giving birth is a big event for any woman, but for tiny Stacey Herald it is momentous – and extremely risky.
Doctors warned 2ft 4in Stacey off pregnancy. They said a baby would grow so large inside her body it would crush her organs, strangling her from the inside out.
But bravely she defied their warnings. And now the world’s smallest mum is just four weeks§ away from having baby number three – her first boy.
Stacey, 35, has osteogenesis imperfecta, which means she failed to grow.
She is only twice the size of daughters Kateri, three, and Makaya, two – both born by caesarean.
She needs a wheelchair to get around and relies on her 5ft 9in husband Will, a trainee priest, to do most things around the house.
Although Stacey admits being pregnant is “uncomfortable” and leaves her looking like a “beachball with a head and little feet”, she is looking forward to the latest addition.
And, after fearing she would never become a mum, she wouldn’t rule out the possibility of more.
Recalling her first pregnancy, Stacey, from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, said: “They all told me I’d die. They begged me not to have the baby…
“All my babies are miracles. They’re a great gift to the world. When I look at them I’m so full of love, it’s tough not to want more.” Source : cctv.com

Something tells me the guy is a little off in the head. It’s not that woman’s fault that she is so small, and she certainly deserves to have what anyone else has, but still… men of regular height aren’t normally attracted to a women that are the size of a toddler. her husband must have a fetish of some sort.
regardless, i’m happy for her being a mother. however, if i were her, i’d stop after this one. 3 is plenty, and she shouldn’t continue risking her life to have more babies. she needs to be there for the ones she already has. i’m sure pregnancy does put quite a strain on her body.
what a selfish act. now she has another kid with the same horrible affliction as her, forced to have others take care of her. why not adopt? selfish.
This is ridiculous, because she was born different from everyone else she is selfish for wanting the same thing a lot of us hope to have? Her child won’t necessarily be born the same way she is.
Also I don’t see why it is so hard to believe that someone out there could love someone no matter what size they are. That is a very ignorant way of thinking on your part.
This woman is in a loving relationship and is having her third child, she has found a sense of normalcy in an otherwise hard world.
