On the island of Koh Samui in Thailand is a center of assistance animal “Island Safari”, the stars which are two elephants – six Mali and nine Toktak. The peculiarity of these giants is that they know how to play basketball. For the NBA, of course, too early, but the basic techniques they have learned.
Six-year Mali and nine Toktak learn to play basketball on the picturesque island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
Organizers of the center “Island Safari”, who cares about animals, they say that elephants have a lot to learn before they can learn the basics of the popular game.
Training begins with basic techniques for keeping of the ball.
Then they learn to hold the ball with its trunk.
The next step – throwing in the trash.
Mali holds the ball with its trunk and balances on his hind legs in anticipation of a signal of his master.
At a signal from the center of an elephant keeper throws the ball in the basket.
Soon it will be possible to arrange matches elephant’s basketball.

I see that is a center for elephants.
But honestly, sometimes I wonder it would be better than animals do things to animals, and not treat them imitate us.
