This interesting train cemetery is located about 30 min walk (2 Km) south of the train station. The junkyard has dozens of old steam locomotives and many wrecked train cars from accidents and derailments (which are frequent in Bolivia).

Local unmarried couples use the old train cars to make out secretly.

Robbers losers twice failed. First they tried to steal a handbag from a woman who was walking beside his bike. Bag got caught on the wheel and the robbers dragged her along with the bicycle . They could not unhook it so – had to leave with nothing.
